Just heard from Laura Nownes about one of the patterns published in our February 2012 TQL. You can read about how she and her friends created an original quilt, Heart Strings, to comfort a member of their quilting circle. The friends are at it again, using the pattern for yet another heartfelt expression of comfort for Laura’s niece. You can see it on their blog See How We Sew.

If you ever feel that a quilt is in order to comfort a friend, remember this one. It’s scrappy and all the directions are there (and you probably have the fabric already) to start right in.
