Peek behind the scenes

Want to get a look at how a cover photo gets taken for TQL? Our wonderful and talented photography team, Gregory Case and Elena Morera, have posted on their blog, Traveling Behind the Seams, about the day “we” shot the cover of the August 2012 issue of TQL. It takes a village, you know, as you will see.

Earlier in the day, the photo location (for the upcoming October issue cover) was Adkins Architectural Antiques & Treasures. It’s always fun when you can combine work with a little bit of shopping.

My treasure from that day: this adorable metal pig watering can. I thought it was an elephant at first, because of the exaggerated nose, but the squiggly tale, feet, and ears clearly make it a pig. He’s become too precious for me to use in the garden and leave outside; now he’s an indoor pet.
