The photo above is Pamela’s quilt, which she calls Christmas Block Buffet Mystery Quilt. Pamela says, “When I read the instructions for the quilt, I liked the colors and decided that my stash of holiday fabrics would work well. I had never worked on a mystery quilt before and, although confident at the beginning with my choice of fabrics, as I started putting things together, I vacillated between curious, delighted and terrified. I learned a few new things and stepped way out of my comfort zone as I progressed though the instructions. I love the mystery quilt concept because it takes you to places you probably would not have gone on your own. I’m enjoying the next mystery quilt (Rainbow Rotini) in American Quilter magazine and hope that I’m as delighted with the experience!”
Pamela, thanks for sharing your story. I’m sure you’ll also be delighted with your Rainbow Rotini mystery quilt. Please watch the AQS website and American Quilter magazine blog for updates and news about future mystery quilt projects.
