When you visit a city, it is always fun to learn about the people of the community. Visiting Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, naturally makes you want to learn more about the Amish. At the AQS Quilt Show in Lancaster, March 14 – 17, you will have an opportunity to learn about Amish Woman & Their Quilts at the Brunch with Rachel Pellman on Saturday, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
Rachel Thomas Pellman and her husband Kenny own and operate Rachel’s of Greenfield where she designs and produces kits for small applique and pieced wall quilts, ornament kits plus punchneedle embroidery kits. Rachel’s kits are wonderfully complete.
Rachel has spent many hours in Amish homes learning the stories of Amish women, the histories of their quilts, and current trends in Amish quiltmaking. She has authored and co-authored numerous books including Amish Wall Quilts, The World of Amish Quilts, A Treasury of Amish Quilts and Tips for Quilters.
